Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

Vienna — 23 December 2025 — Community volunteers linked to “A Drug-Free World” Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and event-based activities. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, described by public monitoring bodies as the most widely used illicit drug in Europe. A short report is available via a Scientology Europe report.

Organisers say, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, with visibility at major public events, including the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European news eu migration institutions and the United Nations, said: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
